Abstract

The research examined the influence of gender and socio cultural factors on prosocial behaviour among tertiary institutions in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State. A descriptive survey deign was adopted for the study. A sample size of 361 students was used and data analysed using Pearson moment product correlation. Prosocial tendencies measures (P.T.M) developed by Johnson (1989) and primary prevention awareness, attitudes measures scale (PPAAMS, Swiser 1985) used to assess helping.
